On June 13, 2022, Dr. Anoop Kumar became President of NLGI. Dr. Kumar will serve a two-year term, ending in June, 2024. Dr. Kumar has served on NLGI’s Executive Committee since 2016 in various roles including Treasurer, Secretary and Vice President. He has been on the NLGI Board of Directors since 2010.
Dr. Kumar’s association with NLGI started in 1997 with the formation of NLGI India Chapter. He ran NLGI-India Chapter till 2008. He has over 30 years’ global experience in product & process development, manufacturing, and applications of lubricating greases & Industrial Oils. He has twenty-nine worldwide patents on lubricating greases to his credit and over ninety worldwide technical publications, presentations in conference and journals of international repute.
He is Co-Founder of NLGI-India’s Greasetech India. He is regular contributor of technical articles in STLE’s TLT, Lubes’n’Greases, Lubes, Noria’ Machinery Lubrication and NLGI Grease Guide. Additionally, Dr. Kumar invented Titanium Complex Grease Technology.
