Code of Conduct

In order for NLGI to better achieve its purposes, the following Code of Conduct is adopted and shall govern the conduct of all members and member representatives, while refraining from activities prohibited by existing antitrust laws. Discussions of agreements that may restrain competition, the exchange of information concerning pricing, rates, coverages, market practices, claim settlement practices, or any other competitive aspect of a company’s operation are strictly prohibited. All such members and member representatives in connection with all NLGI matters and activities shall:

1. Conduct themselves and their activities in a professional manner.
2. Abide by the NLGI Constitution and Bylaws.
3. Refrain from engaging in any activity which would violate confidentiality commitments and/or proprietary rights of their employers, NLGI or any other person or organization.
4. Participate as actively as possible in NLGI to increase the value of membership for all.
5. Refrain from using the NLGI name other than in the conduct of NLGI business as authorized by the Board of Directors.
6. Refrain from abusing the NLGI membership directory or annual meeting attendee lists, or any part thereof, by providing to 3^rd party companies.
7. Conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with, and not disruptive to, the business and social activities sponsored by NLGI.
