We had a new product line launch in 2016. There was the perfect opportunity at NLGI’s annual meeting to do this launch. NLGI has all of the right people for us to contact in one location. There is a good mix of technical and commercial people from each company attending so we can have good impact in a short time period.
The NLGI website has a list of attendees to help us set up our meetings with the target audience. The NLGI audience is very receptive to other member companies to meet with you to discuss new products. We were able to set up 40 meetings in meeting central to introduce our new line of specialty esters, azelaic acid and pelargonic acid, along with our complete line of bio based additives. It’s a little like speed dating, but very effective to talk about our new products.
The time was well spent. It would have taken us over a month to see all of these people to do our initial introduction, and we were able to do this at the NLGI Annual meeting.
The NLGI staff has provided a great networking venue with the receptions and set up in base camp to conduct business and build business relationships.
